This Is my Final Production Film , as you can see my skills from the premiminary task has grown on using IMovie and i feel that i have tried my hardest to get the best possible grade.

Preliminary Task

This is my Preliminary Task That I done , As it was my First time using the IMovie software so i did find it difficult to put the slides together accurately but i tried my best.

Evaluation-What Kind of Media Institution Might Distribute Your Media Product and Why?

My particular media product can be distributed by a numerous of institutions as thriller genres are distributed by the majority of the companies and institutions. However if i had to narrow it down i would say that Spy Glass and Paramount Pictures will be most suitable for my thriller.

I have chosen these 2 as most suitable because they are well known successful companies and they would enjoy and get a lot of the credit for producing a movie like of which i made . However, institutions who are more lower in the rankings could also produce my film. I say this because i have faith in my film that it will be a good success in the world of entertainment and there fore it will bring the lower class media institutions up in the ranks.

Evaluation - What Would Be The Audience Of Your Product

I feel that my target audience of my thriller will be to young adults from the age of 14 - 21 years old due to the fact that it is based around a typical crime which goes around in our society at this very moment. I feel that it will attract both sexes but mainly females as they are more of the victims and they will like to see what sort of things they can avoid if they ever are on the verge of coming across any of the situations in the film.

Adults such as parents and guardians will be classed as the niche audience as may of them will be experience of these situations but will also want an insight of their children life which can also make it easier for them to talk and related to body language and signs of their children in case they are experiencing any rape or othe

r negative things in there life.

However, they will also have to realize it is just a film and not all of the things filmed will be realistic but it just gives that sense of awareness.

For my Character Descrption, I was chose to be the misleading photgrapher that ends up decieving the clients and torturing and Raping them.
I had to come across as a male that looked serious and passionate about his work , but also have that fiery side about me in my facial expressions.

Editing So Far

As i have got enough footage to work with , i am now editing using Imovie which i have never used before. At first i started just playing around with the features such as; transitions - adding fade outs, fade ins etc, Sounds - adding heart beats and squeeky doors. After i got use to using the software , i uploaded the scences that we filmed and started putting them together. Even though we filmed as a group , we had to edit the film individually so just incase any ideas that you shared wasn't able to be taken into account, you had the chance to put it in your own edited thriller opening.
Firstly, i started to put clips in and just worked on lowering the sound so that you couldnt hear the other noises such as unecesssary car noises and dialouge. Secondly , as i have stated before i did not feel my group and i used much contiuity editing , so i spent a while on adding transistions to make the opening flow nicely and fluently. I found this a bit annoying due the fact that it tended to make the opeing film look drivel.

Thriller Opening Scence Part 2

After we Filmed the kidnapping part, we then had to film where the photographer (ME) and the Victim ( Emma) had to meet up. For this ppart, we went outside of school and filmed down an isolated alleyway. This is aslo Realistic due to the fact that it is normally alleyways whre people meet to do business etc. As i look back at this shot, i dont thin we used continuity editing properly as i think that the film does not flow properly and alot of transistion are going to be used.

Thriller OpeningShooting part 1

So Far my thriller opeing is going quite well. My group and i have started filiming the bit where the girl ( emma ) is kidnapped and tied up. For this shooting we needed to get props such as; ropes , Ducktape ( to cover her mouth up) and a hang cuffs. We filmed this in a dark room so it looked quite realistic and spooky which is the effect we wanted to have. This recording is the scence which has the audience thinking ' Oh My Gosh , Who Done This? Why ? How ?

Filming

Today we started filming for the first time , it was quite exciting to finally put our ideas of the storyboard into action with the camera. Due to not having the right equitment for our thriller, we started filming from the end of the thriller to the beggining which was quite challenging but we are getting through it quite well. We started filming the Scene where the girl is held hostage and Emma was tied up in ropes and had her mouth taped up which looked really believable.

When thinking about what props to use we thought very carefully in terms of how we could do shots with props we wanted to use and how we could use them to draw the viewers attention in. we also thought about the sort of things that are appropriate and could work with what we wanted to do and clues we could give the viewers without given away to much information.

When talking about the sort of costumes we want to put our characters into we thought about the professional look and the sort of clothes people would expect to see a photographer in and also the sort of clothes you would normally see a teenage girl in.

When we discussed where we wanted to film our shots we decided it will be more exciting to film it around an old run down garage dinstead of a posh studio where you would expect it. By having a location like this will make the audience ask more questions and feel uneasy. We also planned to film down an alley where the two characters meet, as it is an unusual place to meet someone for the very first time.

Continued StoryBoard -

The story board that we had to create came straight from our individual minds and we had to put it together in order of how we are going to film it. It was quite hard to draw the storyboard due to the fact that we had to be quite precise in each shot, we had to draw each storyboard so that if we gave it to another person they would know excactly how to film it ( thats how accurate and precise we had to be ).
We had to add colour and also how long the shot is going to be , what shot tytpe its going to be i.e panning , close up etc.

It was also a good experience .

The synopis

We deceided to go with a typical thriller film by making the beginning of the film start with the middle so that the audience already us thinking from the start. Our thriller is about a man who goes around taking the role of fake photographer when realy a perverted pedophile. His charming and believable atitde towards his fake occupation allows him to convince innocent girls who want to be a model that he is a photograpther and persuades and convinces them that they are going to get career. The pedophile then comes across a girl who is in a higher level than all his other victims and makes her his next target.

He carrys on his professional ways towards her for a few weeks so that she actually beleives what hes saying is real , untill he shows his real occupation and starts to abuse her and take photos to satisfy himself.

- Planning Ideas -

As we got into groups, we had to plan and get an idead of what our fil was going to conatain and be about. We wanted to stick and relate to the thriller genre so we came up with ideas like :

*--Memory Loss
*--Newspaper headlines
*--Flash backs of the Past
*--Wall of photos of dirty women
*--Girls looking pretty and nice

These are to make the audience think and wonder which is what thrilles intend to do.

We also expanded our thoughts and talked about the equitement we should use. We thought of using Whips , Chains , handcuffs , Costumes and jewerlery that signifies a certain character.

- The Task Set -

For my task , i have to participate in make an opening scence which is set to last 2 minutes.

I will also be participating in this task alongside Emma Martin and Paige Arnold. At first , we will be planning our short film - this will consist of storyboards etc. - we will then be doing pre-recording about what we will be doing , and then filming as a group all together . As we are filming as a group , we will then edit our own sequence each individually so that we have a chance to show how we will want ours to be .
